Ai Pham is the co-founder and co-owner of Spotlight School of Music. As an entrepreneur alongside her business partner Uy Vu, she established the school in 2008 and has since grown it into a thriving institution that offers quality music programs.
Ai's passion for music began at a young age in Vietnam, where she started singing and playing the piano. Her talent and determination led her to win numerous awards as a kid and a teenager, and earn a place at the prestigious Conservatory of Music, and College of Culture and Arts in Saigon. She later transferred to California State University Fullerton and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music.
In addition to her work at Spotlight School of Music, Ai is an active member of the community and serves as a piano accompanist for churches and concerts. As a co-founder and co-owner, she continues to drive the growth and success of Spotlight School of Music, creating a welcoming and dynamic environment for students to learn and grow as musicians.
Introducing Uy Vu, co-founder and co-owner of Spotlight School of Music. In 2008, alongside partner Ai Pham, Uy embarked on a mission to cultivate musical talent. With a background in piano tuning and as a Music Education majored alumni from Chapman University, Uy's passion for music shines through his dedication to teaching and directing church choirs for over 25 years.
Under Uy's guidance, Spotlight School of Music became a beacon of musical education for 16 years, enriching countless lives across multiple campuses. Uy's commitment to excellence extends to his establishment of Higher Standard Entertainment, providing top-tier entertainment for events.
In 2020, Uy expanded his expertise, founding The OC Piano Tuner and Technician, earning acclaim for his exceptional services. As an official vendor for prestigious institutions and beloved by clients across Orange County, Uy's dedication ensures every piano receives the care it deserves. Laszlo Mezo, born in Budapest, Hungary, garnered national acclaim by winning First Prize in the "Kertész Ottó Memorial Competition" at 18. Since then, he has achieved international recognition, earning top honors in competitions such as the "Antonio Janigro Junior International Competition" and the "Ima Hogg International Competition."
A multifaceted musician, Mezo has established himself as a soloist, recitalist, master teacher, and chamber musician, performing worldwide and conducting master classes across continents.
In his illustrious career, Mezo has collaborated with renowned conductors and chamber musicians, including performances with maestros such as Ádám Fischer and Zubin Mehta. With two master’s degrees and training under esteemed mentors, Mezo continues to enrich the musical landscape, residing in Los Angeles and contributing to both the Pacific Symphony Orchestra and Hollywood studio recordings.
Jiaqi Long is an accomplished pianist and esteemed music educator. He obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Music from the prestigious Juilliard School in New York and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree at the renowned New England Conservatory. In addition to his exceptional talent as a performer, Long is highly regarded for his expertise as an instructor. With experience teaching students across various age groups, Long has guided numerous individuals to achieve musical excellence. His students have been admitted to leading music institutions including the John Hopkins Peabody Conservatory, Berklee College of Music, Mannes School of Music, New England Conservatory, and Manhattan School of Music. As an instructor, Long is characterized by his attentiveness, compassion, and approachability. He tailors goals to each student's needs and fosters their motivation to succeed, all while ensuring a enjoyable learning experience.
